Idel is a School Counseling/Mental Health graduate from the University of Wyoming with a deep passion for advocacy and supporting underserved communities. Originally from Mexico, Idel’s immigrant experience inspires his work, particularly in helping English learners and immigrant families navigate the complexities of living in the US. He is dedicated to making a positive impact in Wyoming’s communities and helping individuals thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Idel is committed to promoting equity and inclusion, reducing barriers for marginalized populations, and helping students and families build resilience. His counseling approach is rooted in humanistic and person-centered principles, ensuring clients feel valued and empowered in a safe, empathetic environment.
Outside of work, Idel enjoys hiking, camping, dancing, meditation, and exploring new places. These activities reflect his love for nature, creativity, and mindfulness.
