Lezly Diaz
Clinical Counselor Intern

Lezly Diaz is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern and master's student at Northwestern University. Born and raised in Jackson, Wyoming, she earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Wyoming in 2025. Growing up in Wyoming inspired her passion for supporting the well-being of individuals and families in her community.

Lezly believes that every person has unique strengths and the capacity for growth. She strives to create a welcoming, supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to navigate life's challenges. Her approach is rooted in person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed care, with an emphasis on building genuine therapeutic relationships and helping clients develop meaningful coping skills.

Her professional experience includes working with youth in residential treatment and crisis care settings through Teton Youth and Family Services, and Laramie Youth Crisis Center. These experiences have deepened her commitment to providing compassionate, culturally responsive, and ethical care.

Outside of counseling, Lezly enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family, attending live music events, and getting lost in a good book. After completing her master's degree, she hopes to continue serving communities across Wyoming by increasing access to quality mental health care.
