Lila Satterfield
Clinical Counselor Intern, Practicing in Wyoming & Idaho
Lila Satterfield is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Prescott College. She has lived in Teton Valley for nearly six years and is grateful to call the beautiful mountains and community home. Lila earned her B.S. in Forestry from the University of Vermont, which launched a career in environmental and outdoor education. In those roles, she discovered a passion for fostering community and the power of authentic connection. Witnessing the profound impact of belonging, shared growth, and resilience, Lila was inspired to pursue her journey toward mental health counseling.
Lila supports clients navigating anxiety, depression, personal growth, and life transitions. Her integrative, trauma-informed approach draws from somatic therapy, mindfulness practices, psychodynamic frameworks, and neuroscience-informed interventions. She believes healing deepens when mind, body, and spirit are supported together through evidence-based approaches. Her goal is to offer a gentle, empathetic, and trustworthy space where clients feel truly seen and supported as they navigate their own path toward growth and change. She looks forward to working with clients of all ages, from diverse cultural backgrounds, and within the LGBTQIA community.
Outside of her counseling work, Lila finds joy in meaningful connections, making music, and recharging in nature, whether on skis, a bike, horseback, or simply exploring on foot. Most days, she’s joined by her four-legged sidekick, Mona, who reminds her daily about the value of presence and companionship.
