Teerstyn Johnson, PPC
Licensed in Wyoming
Teerstyn is a mental health counselor who brings a thoughtful, compassionate, and client-centered approach to her work. She holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University in Colorado. Teerstyn grew up in Nebraska and moved to Wyoming in 2010, later returning to the area after completing her undergraduate degree in biology at Briar Cliff University in Iowa, where she also played collegiate volleyball. Before entering the counseling field, Teerstyn worked with students from kindergarten through high school, experiences that shaped her approach to supporting children, teens, and families and inspired her to pursue a career in mental health. Her own experiences as a client in therapy deepened her understanding of how insight, support, and guidance can foster meaningful change. Teerstyn believes all people have the capacity to understand themselves more deeply, develop resilience, and create fulfilling lives.
Teerstyn works with individuals and families of all ages, approaching therapy as a collaborative, relational process. She emphasizes safety and trust while using evidence-informed approaches tailored to each client’s needs. Teerstyn has experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relational challenges in a guided, reflective space that fosters insight and meaningful growth.
Outside the therapy room, Teerstyn values balance, creativity, and connection. She enjoys exploring Wyoming’s mountains and lakes with her boyfriend and dog, listening to live music, painting, and crocheting—practices that help her stay present and grounded in both her personal and professional life.
