NONPROFIT INITIATIVES
Mental Health is a Quiet Emergency
Expanding Access and Strengthening Community Mental Health
Vulnerable populations are struggling long before they qualify for crisis care, often without timely, affordable, or appropriate access to therapy. Teton Behavior Therapy Group exists to bridge that gap, providing early, affordable, community-based mental health care so fewer people reach crisis and more people receive support that truly fits their lives.
Mission
To expand equitable access to mental health support by strengthening prevention, early intervention, workforce wellbeing, and community-based programming beyond the limits of traditional reimbursement models.
Vision
A regional mental health ecosystem where access is not determined by income, insurance status, work schedule, language, or geography, and where support is available before crisis.
Teton Behavior Therapy Group – Nonprofit Initiatives
While Teton Behavior Therapy accepts most insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare, reimbursement rates alone cannot sustain the level of access our community now requires. Rising deductibles, increasing uninsured and underinsured residents, workforce housing displacement, and limited Medicaid reimbursement place significant pressure on traditional private practice models.
Many private practices do not participate in public insurance due to these constraints. We have chosen to do so, and to remain independent, because of access matters. The nonprofit structure allows us to continue accepting insurance while also building the financial flexibility necessary to expand scholarships, school partnerships, bilingual services, evening and weekend care, and workforce-based programming.

Teton Behavior Therapy Group is expanding access to mental health support across Wyoming through community-based programs, prevention efforts, and partnerships.
Our nonprofit work is designed to reach children, families, schools, workers, and community members before challenges become crises. We focus on practical, accessible mental health support that meets people where they are — at school, at work, at home, and in the community.
-
The Mental Health Access Fund helps reduce financial barriers to therapy and behavioral health services for individuals and families who are uninsured, underinsured, or unable to afford the full cost of care.
This fund supports reduced-cost sessions, short-term bridge care, and access to therapy for people who might otherwise go without support.
-
Our Resilient Schools Initiative supports students, educators, and school communities through school-based counseling, social-emotional learning, classroom support, risk assessment, and educator training.
By bringing mental health support into schools, we help children access care earlier and support the adults who work with them every day.
-
Play is one of the most effective ways young children communicate, process emotions, and build coping skills.
Through this program, we provide therapeutic play materials, clinician resources, and caregiver education to help children engage in developmentally appropriate mental health support.
-
Caregiver Connection offers education, support, and resources for parents and caregivers navigating childhood anxiety, emotional regulation, neurodivergence, family stress, and behavioral health needs.
When caregivers feel supported, children and families are more likely to thrive.
-
Built for Resilience creates approachable, stigma-free opportunities for men to talk about mental health, stress, relationships, parenting, work pressure, substance use, and emotional wellbeing.
The program includes community gatherings, workplace presentations, Spanish-language resources, and partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
-
Our Community Wellness Series offers free or low-cost educational events on topics such as anxiety, parenting, stress, sleep, grief, relationships, emotional regulation, and mental health awareness.
These events are designed to make mental health information more accessible to the broader community.
-
The Workplace Mental Health Program supports local employers and employees through trainings on burnout, stress management, communication, emotional wellbeing, and crisis prevention.
We work with businesses and organizations to strengthen workforce wellness and help employees access support before they reach a breaking point.
